A Raglan Farm Wedding

Megan + Adam

Where do I even begin with this wedding?! From the moment Megan got in touch with me I knew just from her email that she was the sweetest most loveliest gal and that I would love her. When we meet for our pre-wedding chat I knew straight away that my suspicions were right and I was totally sold on this couple and their gentle laid back ways. I had never been to Raglan before and I’d heard nothing but good things about the place so I was excited to do my first Raglan wedding with these two sweethearts!

When I arrived in little ole Raglan it felt like home in so many ways, its a beachside town with a real surfy vibe (just like Gisborne) and from what I could tell had some pretty amazing local people willing to help out an out-of-town gal. Megan and Adam chose to have their entire wedding day on her parents farm and boy was it spectacular! The 360 views, the sheep wondering around, the friendly horse in the paddock, the cute lounging areas on the hillside and the clear marquee on the top of the hill overlooking the land her parents raised her on. It was nothing short of magical and they even took me to the spot where Adam popped the question under the gigantic willow tree next to the lily frog pond, it was the loveliest most peaceful place ever.

The reception was out of this world, I mean look at the view they had accompanied with the yummiest food by their favourite local restaurant chef. These guys weren’t shy to get on the d-floor and have a good ole boogie! It’s seriously all about the people and the atmosphere you create that makes a wedding absolutely incredible just like this one…
